Born and raised in Newmarket, Ontario and now living in Burlington, I've always enjoyed all that the Greater Toronto Area has to offer. The shores of Lake Ontario, the contrast between the urban downtown core and the rural natural landscapes, and the Niagara Escarpment and its waterfalls just to name a few, there is no shortage of subject matter for me.
Combined with my passion for travelling, I'm in constant search for opportunities to capture that special moment in time, a visual time-capsule of the world through my lens. My camera is always at the ready, and I'm particularly drawn to photographing architecture and natural beauty, while remaining open to anything else that may catch my eye.
Photography had always been somewhat of a hobby for me, however several years ago I decided to take things to the next level and began pursuing formal training. It was once explained to me that while anyone can take a picture, not everyone can take a photograph. I was fascinated learning the importance of angles, lighting, camera settings and the infinite variables that all come into play when taking a photograph. Having already received my Diploma of Professional Photography, I continue to evolve my skills through ongoing training and practice.
Most important of all, I find photography fun. I thoroughly enjoy visiting new places and trying new things. Never one to take myself too seriously, I believe my sense of humour and casual demeanour has allowed me to maintain a high level of enjoyment while pursuing the perfect shot.
